GridLife Reproduction HUD Manual ================================ Version covered: Reproduction HUD v1.2 Website: https://gridlifesl.com HUD distribution: official GridLife product 1. Purpose and Important Notice ------------------------------- The GridLife Reproduction HUD is an optional, separate system for fictional adult fertility, pregnancy, prenatal, and family roleplay in Second Life. - It is not required for the normal GridLife needs system. - It is fictional roleplay and is not medical advice. - Both avatars must have their GridLife age set to Adult. - Both avatars must independently enable reproduction roleplay. - A partner interaction never starts without an explicit acceptance. - The carrier can end an active pregnancy roleplay at any time. 2. Installation --------------- 1. Create or choose a separate HUD object. 2. Edit the HUD and open its Contents tab. 3. Add gridlife_reproduction_hud.lsl to the root prim. 4. Save or reset the script. 5. Attach the HUD. 6. The object should rename itself to: GridLife Reproduction HUD (v1.2) Do not put this script in the same object as another reproduction HUD script. 3. Set the Required Adult Profile --------------------------------- 1. Wear the current standard or classic GridLife main HUD. 2. Touch the main HUD. 3. Choose Profile. 4. Choose Age. 5. Choose Adult. 6. Optionally choose Profile > Gender and select your roleplay gender. The reproductive role is configured separately and does not have to match the avatar's gender setting. 4. Enable Reproduction Roleplay ------------------------------- 1. Touch the Reproduction HUD. 2. Choose Settings. 3. Choose Enable. 4. Open Settings again. 5. Choose Role. 6. Select one of these roles: Can Carry The avatar may carry a pregnancy. Can Fert. The avatar may fertilize a carrying partner. Both The avatar may carry or fertilize. Neither Partner conception is unavailable. 7. Return to the main menu and choose Refresh. The status should show Roleplay: Enabled and the selected role. 5. Main Menu ------------ Refresh Reloads the saved adult status, settings, fertility cycle, pending requests, and pregnancy status from the server. Partner Starts a nearby-avatar search and creates a consent request. Requests Lists pending partner requests that you may accept or decline. Pregnancy Opens prenatal care, delivery, and End RP actions. Settings Controls opt-in status, reproductive role, fertility, birth control, cycle, and pregnancy duration. Help Displays a short in-world explanation. 6. Settings ----------- Enable / Disable Enables or disables reproduction roleplay. Disabling also expires pending requests involving the avatar. It does not silently start or accept anything. Role Choose Can Carry, Can Fert., Both, or Neither. Fertility Fertile Normal configured conception chances. Reduced Half the normal conception chance. Infertile Conception chance is zero. Birth Control Toggles optional roleplay birth control. When enabled, conception chance is substantially reduced but is not represented as absolutely zero. Timing Select a pregnancy duration of 1, 7, 14, 28, or 280 real days. The default is 14 days. The selected carrier's timing controls a new pregnancy. Reset Cycle Restarts the avatar's fertility cycle at day 1. 7. Fertility Cycle ------------------ The HUD tracks a 28-day cycle by default and displays the current day and phase. The server uses a calculated fertile window near ovulation. Base roleplay conception chance: - Fertile window: approximately 30 percent per accepted attempt. - Outside the fertile window: approximately 5 percent per accepted attempt. - Reduced fertility halves the applicable chance. - Infertile sets the chance to zero. - Birth control further reduces the applicable chance. Conception is never guaranteed unless future administrators intentionally change the system rules. 8. Partner Consent and Conception --------------------------------- Both avatars must: - Be set to Adult. - Wear or have activated the Reproduction HUD. - Enable reproduction roleplay. - Select compatible reproductive roles. To send a request: 1. Touch the HUD and choose Partner. 2. Choose I Carry or They Carry. 3. Select a nearby avatar. 4. The other avatar receives a pending consent request. To answer a request: 1. Touch the HUD and choose Requests. 2. Select the request. 3. Choose Accept or Decline. Requests expire after 10 minutes. Acceptance calculates the chance using the selected carrier's cycle, fertility, and birth-control settings. The HUD reports whether conception occurred and displays the chance used. 9. Pregnancy Progression ------------------------ An active pregnancy shows: - Carrier or partner relationship. - First, second, or third trimester. - Progress percentage. - Due date and time in UTC. - Prenatal health score. - Roleplay symptoms based on the current trimester. At the due date, the HUD displays READY FOR DELIVERY. 10. Prenatal Care ----------------- Only the carrier can perform prenatal care. Requirements: - An active carrier pregnancy. - One Prenatal Vitamins asset in the carrier's GridLife inventory. - At least 12 hours since the previous prenatal action. Choose Pregnancy > Prenatal. A successful action consumes one Prenatal Vitamins asset and improves the prenatal score by 10 points, up to 100. 11. Delivery ------------ Only the carrier can complete delivery, and the due date must have arrived. 1. Touch the HUD. 2. Choose Pregnancy > Deliver. 3. Enter the baby's roleplay name. 4. The pregnancy is marked delivered and the partner is notified. The system records the roleplay outcome but does not rez or deliver a baby object. A compatible baby-object system can be added separately. 12. Ending Roleplay ------------------- The carrier may choose Pregnancy > End RP > Confirm End at any time. This marks the current pregnancy roleplay as ended. The action is deliberately available as an immediate opt-out. 13. Website Dashboard --------------------- The player dashboard shows whether reproduction roleplay is enabled, the saved role, cycle phase, active pregnancy stage, due date, progress, prenatal score, and waiting consent requests. 14. Troubleshooting ------------------- "Adult profile setting required" Update to Reproduction HUD v1.2. In the main HUD choose Profile > Age > Adult, then choose Refresh in the Reproduction HUD.
